Judging by appearances

First of all, I must say it's true the first we see in a person at first sight is his/her appearance, but how does it affect us to know someone's within?
I think nowadays we are influenced by the image dictatorship, so that the beauty rules.
Often we think that someone's image match up with his/her own character, but certainly we can be wrong about that.
For example a famous, rich businessman and an old, poor homeless person, who do we come closer to? Well, obviously we tend to trust in the first one, but actually there's no any logical reason.
We only think that a good appearance must mean a good inside.
In my opinion, we must go more deeply into others without judging them only by appearance.
Because sometimes appearances are misleading.
